Waist Measurement
Find your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, roughly 1 inch above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around this point, keeping it level and parallel to the floor.
Stand relaxed. Don't suck in. The tape should be snug but not digging in. You should be able to slip one finger under it.

Inseam Measurement
Stand barefoot or in shoes you'd normally wear with pants. Measure from the crotch seam straight down the inside of one leg to your ankle bone.
Easiest method: Measure the inseam of a pair of pants that already fit you perfectly — from the crotch seam to the bottom hem.
